Ran the update script, updates plugins, and am having all sorts of problems.

1. wp booster error:
Please update your [tagDiv social counter] Plugin!

2. Update script didn’t end up giving me the same header & footer (header is blank, footer is different colour with extra stuff displayed)

3. new them using different images sizes

!!??!!

Can I pay you to fix my website?

Cheers
Rick

I uploaded latest versions of these plugins from the downloaded update – that error is now gone.

I just wish it was able to keep all the same layout, font and colours…

??!Q!??

Hello Rick,

Newspaper 6 is a whole new theme that is released for free for all of our existing customers so an update from 4 to 6 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Also you have to update the child theme(if you use one), please note that old files customization or custom css will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust and re-add them.
Bottom line is that newspaper 6 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Hope this helps!

Thank you!

Thanks Bogdan

I do appreciate your quick service.

At first I did update the plugins via wp, got errors – uploaded from latest download fixed the errors.

I had given myself an hour or so to do the update – with all the minor changes to the layout, it ended up taking me a solid 3 hours to get ver 6.5 looking like my 4.6 blog.

As you said – it’s a whole new theme, I still love it.

Thanks again.
