Hi I have followed your instructions on updating the tagDiv Composer plugin after upgrading to newspaper 9 but it still crashes my site.

If I delete the tagDiv Composer folder, the site appears, but obviously then there is a heap of code just showing up on the pages.

Help please….

Richard

Hello !

All the shortcodes appear because you haven’t updated / activte the tagDiv Composer. Here is the guide on how to update the Newspaper Theme : https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Please make sure you follow all the stepts and after updating the theme you will activate the plugins.

Also make sure to first delete the old Newspaper theme and plugins and only after that install the new one !

Thank you !

OK, so I thought I had done this.

So I deleted the old theme and then install the new one, which did not crash the site, but all the elements showed.

So then I activated and installed the tagdiv composer and the whole site crashed.

Have you heard of this happening before?

OK, so I followed your instructions, deleted the theme as well as the old td-composer plugin.

The theme installed fine (but obviously the / code was still showing as the td-composer was not installed.

I then installed the tagdiv composer and it installed fine.

But then when I went to activate the plugin an error appears saying to check the admins email for more information. No email has been sent and I can not get back into the site???

When I turn off the theme and then try to activate the plugins there is an ajax error

It seems the solution for the AJAX error was to upgrade the php version to 7.2 (in my case)

I will check the site now to see if it is all working, but it looks to be good.
