Hi, we purchased version 8 of Newspaper several years ago, it was purchased by an employee conner@lamproslabs.com, and I can’t reset his Themeforest password to access the updates. I just paid for a year of support with version 12, but I’m not sure about updating that much… can I get the version 8 updates somehow? Previous versions don’t show up in my downloads area. The site is being repeatedly infected by malware because of an outdated tagdiv right now. Any help would be appreciated.
Update: Installed version 12 into a staging copy of the site, it replaced version 8. Site is giving a blank home page with:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: post in /nas/content/live/[redacted]/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/functions.php on line 924, referer: https://[redacted]/
If I could get a copy of Version 8.7.2, that would potentially fix the security hole without requiring new work on this site. Thank you!

If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from Theme Forest account and download it.

I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Also, please update the PHP version to 7.4 or 8.0

I cannot download the latest version 8 updates because my employee’s account on themeforest 5 years ago can’t do a password reset. We can’t get the password reset email despite routing messages for that address to me. I’m not sure why.
Can you please send me a link to download the most recent updates for version 8? Or move the registration from robert@lamproslabs.com to troy@lamproslabs.com?
