I updated my theme today and have a couple issues I cant figure out.
1. My media gallery wont populate with the images I previously had loaded. They show up fine live but they don’t show up in the library on the back end.
2. I have prompts to update “tagDiv Social Counter” I’m currently running Version 2.7. I don’t have an update option on my plugin panel.
You can update the social counter from the file included with your theme download, in the plugins folder. Always best to do those manually via FTP.
Similarly always best to update theme via FTP as sometimes auto-update tools can timeout leaving elements incomplete.

As for the second problem, please follow Chris’ suggestion (thank you Chris) and do an install via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.

Updated the plugins manually by ftp and it didn’t seem to work. Do you think reverting to my backup and then starting over would help. Last time I activated the child theme and then installed the new theme using the normal WordPress theme panel.
I’m thinking:
Revert to backup
Activate child theme
Manually load theme through ftp
Sound right?

Please be advised that the child theme will not work anymore. Version 6 of the theme is a new theme built from scratch. the code has been changed and so the child theme will not work properly. You will have to remake your child theme and adjust it’s modifications to the new code.
Installing via FTP is the best way to do it.

I’ve tried to update directly using the FTP. I still get this error:
wp booster error:
Please update your [tagDiv social counter] Plugin!
My media library still wont show anything. Not sure what to do from here.

We updated the social counter again in the current version 6.6.1 as some people had trouble with the facebook button. You can try to update your theme to the latest version and install the latest version of the social counter.
Try to remove the social counter widgets from your website and add them again afterwards.
