Updating theme

Greetings friends

I am considering to update the theme to the current edition, but I have some questions.

From what I understand content will not be lost, but additional css code etc will.
That’s clear, I will keep all my extra code seperately and add it again from theme configuration.

As for the theme settings, will they be lost?
Like selected colors, logo, specific category settings, specific page settings etc?

Hello Robotakis,

Please keep in mind that for each theme update you should make a full backup of your database to be safe. Notice that in each upgrade the theme changes some files and that’s why you will loose your customizations, sorry! Be more carefully in this regard, and you will have to make it again.

Thanks for replying, I have not made the upgrade yet, I made this topic first.

I understand that I will lose customizations, such as extra code I’ve added etc.

My question , will I lose all my selected options and settings from Theme Panel as well?
If so, is there a way to save my current settings from theme panel?

Hello Robotakis,

All the theme panel settings have been loaded in your database and you will not lose these if you will update the theme. Do this steps via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
