V 6.2 to V 9.1 upgrade

Hello,
I would like to upgrade the theme version from V 6.2 to V 9.1.
Trying to switch the theme will result in an error screen.
Please tell me the solution.

Hi,

There have been many changes since that version. A changelog can be seen here

Most important, please be sure to check the updated theme requirements guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Increase all the parameters if it’s the case.

In similar cases with HTTP 500 errors the issue was caused by insufficient memory. Try to increase it to a value of 256M if possible. Contact the hosting provider to do it for you if needed.

So the same error appears when activating the theme? We could take a look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP if possible.
We may need to deactivate your plugins for testing. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

By turning off the “tagDiv API” plugin, it was able to check normally.
