I am using newspaper v 9.7.3 and I added some script in <head> section in header.php to use google japanese font like…
<link href=”https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Serif+JP” rel=”stylesheet”>
In the newspaper v 9.7.2, it was working. But v 9.7.3, it is not loaded.
May be I have a same problem with forum number #301415

What should I do to activate the script in <head> section?

Now is not longer need to set the code in header.php, now you can set the code directly in theme panel in analytics/js codes -> https://www.screencast.com/t/aVNquOI0dsU
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
