Video SEO issues with Video templates

I recently started using “Video post templates” of our Newspaper theme, but I am not sure if it’s “Video SEO compatible or not. When I am saying Video SEO, it doesn’t mean “Yoast Video SEO Addons” or general “Yoast SEO” plugin.
What I actually mean is- if I add video in the “Featured video link” to create a video post as per Newspaper theme rules, Will it show under the Google Video Searches? For example- Let’s have a look at the results for my old posts here: https://i.imgur.com/rJgs9eR.jpg

I searched for the term “Tomato heart TVF” under Google Video tab and you can notice two video results there. In these posts, I had used youtube video links in the content and I can see that old posts were producing valid Video SEO files.

I only use Yoast SEO for SEO purpose and “Google XML generator plugin” for Sitemap purpose. My question is when Google won’t detect YouTube videos in content of the post. Will it consider that post as a video post?

How does this youtube actually appears to search engines when the link is added only through “Add featured Video” section of video post temples. Do we also need to select “Video” post type to make it work or Will it work equally good with “standard” post type too, given that we have selected style -9,10 or 11 for post type .

Please clear my doubts.

But have you achieved this with simple Yoast Sitemap generator or have you applied any other Video SEO plugin etc?

What if in future, I changed the theme, will this featured video will remain added somewhere in the post or will it simply disappear?

Suppose I choose a video format and no matter whatever post template I am using, will it automatically add the play button in featured image?

Or to get the play button embedded on Featured image, I must need to select style post-9, 10 or 11?
