Hi, the video thumbnails are not fitting properly in my website.
They are not covering the thumbnail space.

Please try to Regenerate your Thumbnails with Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, clear all cache and check the results.

Hi, no, it doesn´t work. I have two problems. The first one is that the thumbnail that is generated by placing the youtube url places a black ribbon up in the top and in the bottom of the video, so i get it wrong. And the second one is that the thumbail generated doesn´t fit all the thumb space, so it really doesn´t work.
Please help me with this.

For your first request, I have tested on my side with a video link that you use on your site and the featured image from this video link have the same format as it appears to you, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/eMqSzjAy This behaviour is generated by these kinds of video and not from the theme. Please try with another video link and see that this will not happen.

Hi Catalin, thank you for your comment, but “this kind of video” is a normal youtube video, which must be admitted by the theme.
And for the second issue, i have installed the plugins “regenerate thumbnails” and “upscale” and still doesn´t work.
Hope you can help me to fix this, this issue is not working properly in the theme.

Unfortunately, for your first request, please notice that is talking about Aspect Ratio.
Your Video has been registered with a specific aspect ratio that differs to our aspect ratio used by the theme Those black bands appear to your featured image when these characteristics are different (aspect ratio). As I explained you in the previous reply, our theme uses a specific cropping system, namely center to top. In your case, if you want to display the featured video you need by another system cropping which should be implemented on your theme and which involve custom work. Please notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry! For your second request, please try to disable all the plugins, leave just Visual Composer and Thumbnail Regeneration to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is possible to have some interference in your theme generated by your untested plugins which can cause some unknown issues.
After this advice, if your problem is still theme with your thumbnails and if you need more assistance in this regard, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so I can further inspect your setup page. Hello, I was finally able to fix this. I’m not sure what the problem was but after regenerating thumbs 3x it appeared. Thanks.
I’ve noticed this same issue.
The common item is that I get black bars (top and bottom) on my theme thumbnail feature image when the youtube thumbnail is set to custom. If I am using a youtube video and it is set to one of the three thumbnails that YouTube auto generates, then the thumbnail Newsmag theme pulls will display correctly, full frame, with no black bars.
I’m not sure how the theme pulls the YouTube defined thumbnail through the YouTube api, but when it does it from a video that has a custom thumbnail set, then the video looks horrible on the Newsmag theme.
This is a big problem, cause it causes the look of the page to appear amateur and unprofessional.

Please try to update your theme to the latest version of it (Newsmag 3) because I have tested with a video from your site to my side and the video has been displayed as properly, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/tsERA1APCo28 Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
