Visual Composer Downgrade

Hi,

Like many people here reading the forums it would seem that I made the mistake and updated Visual Composer to version 5.2 which is clear has caused a lot of problems as you know. I followed your advice and deleted 5.2 and re-installed 5.1.1 from the Theme however all the problems are essentially still there.

Is there a current solution to this as I have many pages impacted and I’m not quite sure what to do?

I should just add that it appears that the Front End Editor option is not appearing in the options under Visual Composer and its also not possible to select it when on a post/page etc.

So I’m not sure how I’m meant to recreate the pages and I can’t wait for you guys to put out a release that may fix the issue. Would appreciate your advice.

Hi,

If you mean the front-end option of Visual composer, this is disabled in plugin version provided with the theme.
In most cases installing the plugin version from the theme package provides a fix for this issue. It is strongly recommended not to update the Visual composer plugin directly from the author if available, before supported officially. We test Visual composer properly before including it in the theme package

If installing the 5.1.1 version from the theme bundle is not fixing the issue, I don’t have a definitive solution at the moment. Try updating the affected pages, and clear all caching installed.

Thanks
