Hi,
The Visual Composer that comes bundled with the theme is licensed to the theme and only we can provide updates. In each theme version released we provide the latest version of V.C. available on market, so if you use version 7.4 of the theme, you can also update the Visual Composer plugin to version 4.12.1 which is provided in the theme package.
