WebP images not work

Hello,

I don’t think I fully understand how WebP images work.

I have installed the ShortPixel Optimizer plugin, and the WebP images are being generated correctly.

Example: form mypicture.jpg => mypicture.webp was created successfully

I have enabled WebP images in the theme settings:

BLOCK SETTINGS > Thumbs on Modules Block > Use WebP Format ==> ACTIVE

However, nothing changes on the website, and I don’t understand why.

Shouldn’t the blocks display WebP images instead of JPGs?

Am I missing something?

On this page, for example, in the sidebar the images are jpeg but there are corresponding webp ones.

Example:

https://www.mrw.it/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/emoticon-natalizie-300×300.jpg ==> https://www.mrw.it/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/emoticon-natalizie-300×300.webp

Why?

Hello,

From what I see, there are no webp images https://i.imgur.com/9SG8Sj7.jpeg, so please use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/
Please regenerate the thumbs https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ and check after.
