I am not sure what has happened but I downloaded the theme played with it for about a day made some sample posts to see different features. I tried to see how if I deactivate newspaper theme and activate another theme to see how the posts look like the moment I wanted to activate Newspaper theme i get the message: “website is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500” Why would that happen. Now my website is not live nor I can access my wordpress admin panel. How do I fix that? I did reinstall the theme but that didn’t help.

You could try to deactivate the plugins by FTP, to try and eliminate the server error and gain access to the admin panel

Check the theme requirements, insufficient resources could cause all kinds of problems

The WP memory parameter can be set as high as possible, this solved this kind of issue for other users.
