I’m using newspaper and am very happy with the overall setup and tools the theme is providing:
However, since I started using it have this problem that the website is showing up pretty quickly, visibly the website is present. But in the status bar the spinning wheel indicates a loading process up to 60 even 90 seconds. Which of course ruins my ranking.
I can’t seem to narrow down what is causing that issue. I’m pretty sure it’s on my end. Or on the server. But since I’m not a web developer I was not able to find a way to pin down what could cause that issue, let alone fixing it.
I’ve ditched any caching plug-ins etc. assuming that was causing the issue but still the same.
How can I approach fixing this? How do I monitor that loading process?
Any tip would be highly appreciated.

Hi Vlad, thanks for your response. I did check with the hoster. The operator updated PHP and the robots.txt file. But from their end, everything looks normal.
One strange thing though: I’m getting a good Pingdom score of 99. But on Google PageSpeed Insights I’m getting the worst possible score.
Any idea why the results are so different?
