My website is throwing readers out who try to read my website, http://www.mydigitnews.co.za, from Facebook.
It starts to load, but then one gets thrown out immediately.
What could be the cause of this problem?

I’ve tried to access a post shared on your Facebook page and it worked fine on my side. Please make sure that you’re using one of these browsers to access the posts: http://screencast.com/t/f9alrjHa If you use an untested browser it may cause issues with page’s load.
Also check your site’s optimization. The page load is very big, takes up to 11s until the entire page is loaded http://screencast.com/t/osTWtwx5rRb and also page’s size is quite big. The website is loading perfectly from Facebook (their browser) from my Huawei P8 phone, but it’s not loading (it starts to load and then closes) on Facebook.
Some of my readers complained that they can’t access the site as it closes — something I also experiences with another mobile phone.

On mobile devices the site loads really slow, here can be seen the result from google page-speed toll: http://screencast.com/t/CzzRX1JO This affect user experience and some times the browser will stop page’s load it takes to mush time until the server responds. Try to optimize the site following our documentation. also try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test again.

I have tried all of your advice, yet I am still experiencing a problem when users want to read a story from Facebook. It’s loading on my Huawei P8, but on another smartphone I have it starts loading on Facebook and then closes.
When I use the phone’s browser, it’s loading with no problem. Maybe there is something on my backend that that is causing the problem, but with my limited experience, I just have no idea what could be the cause of it.

Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then try the facebook share again and see if the site loads

I have done everything humanly possible, but the problem persists. My hosting company is saying the problem is not with them.
Could the problem be a coding problem? I see Newspaper 7 is supported by most browsers, but it says nothing about support for Facebook’s ib-browser?
There must be a reason for this, as the website wants to open, but during loading time of seconds it exits. Sometimes it does load the entire site, but once you click on a different post, it gets thrown off.

Please notice that we have our own list of tested browsers where our theme working properly (on the desktop and mobile mode) and as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/BVY30mbd It is possible that the theme is working fine on some mobile default browsers but we cannot say for sure this thing. Also, please notice that we have not made any tests with Facebook and also, none of Facebook application is not tested with the theme and therefore we cannot say for sure if it will work or not, sorry!

Hi Catalin, a “sorry” is just not going to do it for me.
I need a theme that will work on all browsers, including browsers such as Facebook as that is where I am getting most of my users, herewith called, traffic, comes from.
Is there a way to claim a refund, as not even the mobile site is wanting to open properly.

Note that Facebook sets a redirect for all links from FB to a website as well as tracking cookie; if your site does not properly allow redirects or has “too many redirects” then some devices will fail, especially mobile.
If somebody can access your website from any other link except Facebook, then it’s fairly clear the issue is how the site is setup to accept inbound traffic from Facebook.
If your site has popups, popunders, conflicting Facebook data on page, etc. these can also impact FB links on landing.
I don’t work here, just some feedback.
Also note if your site is https and SSL3, TLS1 and 1.1 are deprecated (which are insecure), some older web browsers cannot connect at all over https and will not load page. For example with http/2 and https, old web browsers cannot connect to an https page properly in many cases.
