I still use Visual Composer on my website. I have no time (and no clue how to) switch to the Tagdiv Pagebuilder. My version of Visual Composer is getting outdated.
I have 2 questions about this issue.
1. Is there a way to updae to a more recent version op Visual Composer?
2. What will happen to my site if I deactivate Visual Composer?

A page builder is required for the proper functionality of the theme. If you disable visual composer you should activate the tagdiv composer and switch to the new page builder. This is recommended as we will be adding new cool features to the tagdiv composer and visual composer will no longer receive new features. it will still remain as an alternative option and we will still provide updates for it but no extra theme specific features. I still can not update Visual Composer. When following the instructions on your site i only find a js_composer.zip file from 2016. It does install the same version of Viual Composer that i have now (version 4.11).
The plugin keeps telling me that i have update to version 5.01.
I tried to download the Newspaper installation files from Themeforest but there no folder named Newspaper-tf and no js_composer.zip file.
Where do i go wrong?

Hello,
We do not have the latest update for VC yet in the theme package. The guide also mentions you should only use the version we provide. The latest version we can provide at the moment is version 5.4.5. Please deactivate and delete your current version of VC and install it again from the main theme package you can download from envato now.
It will still say you nee to update to version 5.01 though but until the next theme update this is not possible.

I think i did not make myself clear. The problem is that the path ‘Newspaper-tf/plugins/js_composer.zip’ is not contained in the main theme package that i can download at Envato.
You can download the theme in 2 ways. One is just the install zip and one is the full package. Please download the full package from the download options on your envato account.

i’m sory Bogdan, but it seems that you don’t get the point i try to make:
In the actual full package download there is NO map called ‘Newspaper-tf’ and NO file called ‘js_composer.zip’ as mentioned in https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If you can provide a location where i can download the single zip-file i will be perfectly happy.

That is impossible, the Visual composer plugin is included in the theme package, plugins folder

As Bogdan mentioned you will have to download the full theme package. Select “All files and documentation”

Then in the full theme package check as mentioned in the plugins folder, the Visual composer 5.4.5 version is there. There is no need to provide additional download links for Visual composer specifically, since it is included in the downloadable theme package. Let us know.
