Hi, I understand that I am very late in this particular issue, but I still use the previous version of VC builder Version 4.12.1. I didn’t update the VC plugin since the information was announced many month ago due to our website is still new and we were moving our hosting server back then, and frankly very busy with focusing on updating content.
Anyway, now I got issues with the old plugin since I think it didn’t work anymore as is should. I just checked in again on tagDIV forum, but when I visited the “Our new page builder is available on GitHub” topic, the post isn’t available, both for the instruction and the TAG home made plugin.
My related questions are:
1. Please advise on this matter.
2. What is the current plugin for page builder should I use? My plugin page give me notification for the new Virtual Composer update which is version: 5.0.1. but it should be downloade separately and install it back again. Or should I use tagDIV home made plugin? Where can I download the latest plugin.
3. In any plugin that I will use later on, do I have to remake my front page from the beginning or will it automaticly keep the current design that I use right now?
4. Please kindly to provide step by step on how to update the plugin since remaking my frontpage will take sometime?

You should only use visual composer. Our new page builder is experimental and not a final version. We removed it because most people believed they should remove visual composer and only use our builder. This is not the case. The tagdiv composer is momentarily not available so you can only use visual composer.

Okay and the update instruction is also very clear, except it is mentioned that I should first deactivate and delete WPBakery Visual Composer plugin, before I upload the new one and activate it. Will it change my current layout page and do I have to remake the whole layout after update? Just to be sure, so I know what I am expecting when I update the plugin.

No, deleting the plugin will not remove your pages. The pages themselves are kept in the database so removing the plugin has no effect on your content. You can delete it without issues and then install the new version.

That’s great! I just realized one more thing, where can I download the WPBakery Visual Composer 5.0.1. plugin? I search the forum but there isn’t any available link. I search on Google and it direct me to Code Canyon, but when I checked, it was 4.8.x something.
