Will update to version 7 remove my page and widgets layout?

Hello,

Will an update to version 7 remove my page and widgets layout? I don’t want to set up everything from the scratch. Which update option should I choose to save the current layout?

Hello buczek,

First of all, please notice before each update we recommend doing a full backup for all your data to be sure in this regard. For more information about how you can do a backup, please check here -> https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups After doing this, you will have to make your update only via FTP because this is the surest method for updating. So, please notice that all your data is kept on MySql database and after you will come back on your theme using the latest version, all of them will be found there. Please notice that if you have some additional customizations through the code and the core file which these have been added was been changed, the new update will overwrite these files and you will lose these customizations and that’s why it is ok to make a backup.
