WordPress install problems

NewsMag will not install on my WordPress 4.9.6.

I’ve also tried a clean install of WordPress and to install NewsMag via the WordPress Theme Install panel. I’ve ensured the Theme has downloaded (32.9mb for the download file); unzipped as NewsMag-tf folder; selected the Newsmag.zip in WordPress.

I unzipped on my MacBook Pro with Archive Utility 10.10.

I still find FTP the best way to install, to be safe, as you can also take backup of existing content and wp-config, htaccess and all that at same time.

Hi,

Also be sure to install the actual theme, not the whole package. The package has the size you mention while the theme itself is much smaller (about 8MB)
