Hi team,
I’m still using Newspaper 8.5 and just received a notice to update my WP Bakery to version 5.5. I own a license for this, but I”m wondering if you make any modifications to the plugin (js-composer) before you release it with Newspaper updates. Or is it ok to try and updated it to the latest version (assuming there is no compelling reason not to)?

First of all, you should update the theme to the latest version of the theme which is 8.8.1. The WP Bakery 5.5 version is not yet tested with the theme but only 5.4.5 version which comes bundled with the latest version of the theme. Keep up the steps with our updates. We hope to update the WP Bakery in the future updates.

Thanks for your response. I’m purposely using a lower version of the theme because there are updates in the later versions which I do not like (i.e., changes to WP Bakery which deleted certain features I need and are now only available in the TD composer). As I mentioned in a different post, the TD composer is buggy for me using a Mac with Sierra OS 10.12.6 (https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/td-composer-editor-pane-margin/). To my knowledge, this has not yet been resolved and I currently need to make edits to the TD composer source files in order to see the entire editing pane on the left).
