I am someone who like to keep my plugins up to date whether I use them or not.. that being said, I see WPBakery came with the theme (which I already paid and arm and a leg for).. When I try to update WPBakery, it claims I do not have a license and need to shell out additional funds to have a license. I have tried to update it and continue to get this:

There is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available. View version 4.12 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit settings to activate your Visual Composer. Got Visual Composer in theme?
Visual Composer also should have a license I assume as it was detected with the theme. But the WPBakery update notification will endlessly bug me until the end of time until it is updated. Please advise on a fix. Visual Composer, when I try to activate it, does not have a license.

Please keep in mind that Visual Composer come bundled with our theme and you will have to use only the version which comes with the theme and not other to achieve better results. Our latest version of the theme is Newspaper 7.1.1 and the right version for required plugins are -> Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1.
As you can see, all the plugins are in constant development. Each plugin will have to be checked with our theme for a good working and this process it may take a while. For example, the latest version of Visual Composer is 4.12 and the latest version of the plugin which has been tested with our theme is 4.11.2. In the future, after our developers will check this latest version of Visual Composer with the theme and they will find that the theme does not need to do some adjustments for, we will release an update with the latest version of Visual Composer (4.12). Until we will release the update with these latest versions you will have to ignore these messages.
So, please notice that if you want to have the latest version of the Visual Composer, you will need to have the additional license of this plugin and also, we cannot say for sure if this version of Visual Composer will work 100% with the theme because this version it is in testing.

Visual Composer is not working properly on my end.. this theme has become a very disappointing purchase and I sort want my money back. I am trying to set up templates and other things for my site in my free time and for it not to work as advertised is very maddening. On top of that, the nagging “please activate your copy of visual composer” notification and trying to verify it has my blood boiling. Telling us to ignore this is like telling a driver on a road to ignore the traffic lights. It just won’t fly.

Please notice that if you push this button from the Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/MtzVMudgd you will see the official message from Visual Composer regarding on separate license of Visual Composer, like so -> https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=524337
If you want to hide this warning, you will have to find in plugin file and remove from there the code which calls this warning. Please notice that we cannot provide a solution in this regard because we can not alter the plugin code, sorry!
So, if you are unhappy with our theme and if you want a refund, please make a request at contact@tagdiv.com in this regard and please specify there which are the main reasons for refunding.
