Hi,
This is a really weird problem I am experiencing with Newspaper. On a mobile device, instead of the bult in mobile theme, I only get the responsive version of the desktop theme. That means, that ad options for a dedicated mobile theme (eg. the looped ad) are not displayed.
What can be done to prevent the responsive version from being shown? Thanks
So I pretty much singled out the problem: Its the cache. Even though, I set it up correctly (double checked with our admin). When I log in on a mobile device to admin (no cache), the correct version is served. As soon as I log out, the reponsive version is served :-/
Hi,
That can be caused by caching plugins. The mobile theme is sensitive when it comes to caching. You could try to use the WP Super Cache plugin if possible

Thanks
Hi,
Then it could be this similar situation from this topic

Try making that modification and test again.
Thanks
Hi Simion,
The code you sent does not need to be implemented, as WP Super Cache already has the code in it: https://puu.sh/xPLZH/33145683f8.png
Hi,
Didn’t check that, that modification was necessary in older version of the caching plugin, but it seems it is not the case anymore. Something else must be causing the issue, if the mobile them plugin is not working properly. Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it.
Thanks
Hi Simion,
Here is the link to the website: http://www.techbyte.sk. If you want to have a look at the theme from the inside, please let me know. This issue is very weird. We would love to use the mobile theme plugin, as it just makes more sense (design, and function-wise).
Thanks in advance,
Lukas
Hi,
It seems that the mobile theme is not working on the website. I have tested the latest version of WP Super Cache with the configuration as in the guide, and the latest theme version and plugins. The mobile theme works properly under these circumstances, logged in or not

It works every time, the problem is not happening. Please deactivate all plugins except the theme plugins and the caching plugin (clear the cache) then check if this has any effect. Additionally try deactivating an deleting the mobile plugin and installing it again from the latest theme package. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
Seems to be displaying now from what I can see

There would be no reason for the mobile theme plugin not to work for you as well. Unless maybe something like a plugin interfering with it, but that could be easily tested. Or maybe modifications made to the theme or mobile theme files.
Thanks
Hi Simion,
The theme is not working correctly. It is being displayed for a few seconds, when I change the theme layout. Then it reverts back to a responsive theme.
Right now, it is back to the responsive layout with no way of triggering the mobile theme. As I said, I can give you permissions for you to check it if you are interested. đ
Hello Lukas,
