I have the same issue, grey screen when I try to edit any template, even if I switch off all of my plugins.

Thank you for your advices, but it didn’t work. I tried the “offset” solution, I wrote the code in the front-page.php file, but nothing changed.

Hi Alan!

It seems, this problem is still there, and I liked your souliton, but for me, it’s not the best, because I use Featured category for almost all of my posts. So I think I need an offset code line instead of excluding Featured articles. Can you help me, what should I write in this case?

I realised that I get the 404 error, when I try to change the prefix “tag” in permalink settings. Do you still think it is an encoding issue?
