Then were exactly can we use sticky posts in the theme?
Hi Alin,
Here is the link to a test page with the block set to show all posts, order latest: http://abakanews.org/test-page/
The post that is set to sticky is the following:
http://abakanews.org/news/armenia-and-artsakh/մայր-աթոռ-սուրբ-էջմիածնի-մէջ-տեղի-ունե-2/
As you can see, it is way down on the list!
Hello thelastpoet,
I can’t take all the credit for the code. I got it from the WordPress codex site (with some customization for my needs). wp_new_user_notification
Hope that helps.
Hi alin,
It does not work, I had to disable unique articles to get it working. When it is on, the second page of the slider is blank. This is a live site and I can not leave a bug like that on the front page!
I’m having the same issue. Even after changing the data source file, sticky posts d’ont work. Is there a problem when multiple categories are assigned to a post?
You can find rhe Site at Abakanews.org
I will test without plugins at a later time when I am not at peak usage hours.
Thank you
I figured out that wordpress no longer sends the actual password but a link to reset your password. It all worked fine until your last update. After updating your theme, wordpress stopped sending emails to newly registered users (but admin still got the notice email). I tested with another theme, and it worked.
After much testing, I ended up creating a custom ‘wp_new_user_notification’ in functions.php and it started to work again.
Also since the update the front page Big Grid Slide no longer works as before. If the page has unique articles enabled and I link the Big Grid Slide to a category that has only 8 posts (and set limit posts to 8), I only see 4 posts (blank when I scroll pages). Is this normal?
Thank You
What I am really looking for is a way to change the category big grid drop down filter to filter by tag instead of the current latest, featured… etc.
Can I replace the code in td_category_template.php with the code you use in blocks to filter by tag? If so, were can I find it.
Thank you
Not sure which settings screen you want. But my problem is not in the section shown on your screen grabs.
It’s on the WordPress Edit Category page you access from my website category page. This is the link structure to the page.
http://my domain/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=category&tag_ID=6&post_type=post
It’s missing the template settings part.
Thank you
