Hello Anamaria,

I changed the theme now, that is why you saw the default theme from wordpress. I am not using Newspaper anymore.

Right. There is a section with instructions to do this manually “Update the theme via file transfer protocol (FTP)” https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/#:~:text=Update%20the%20theme%20via%20file%20transfer%20protocol%20(FTP)

This is how I did it.

Make sure you follow those instructions explicitly!
