Turning on YOAST seems to slow down the site. Is there a manual way of entering it in the Editor?

at earthy.me you can see vertical lines in the left and right side of the page. I would like to
eliminate those lines if possible.

The previous theme did not have a featured image section in it. The images embedded in the post automatically showed up as a thumbnail on the home page. The thumbnails have been rebuilt under the newsmag theme. The question is, How do I get the existing thumbnails to automatically populate all of the old posts?

They were working on the previous site with the previous theme so I assume so where do you set that
