Hello Simion,
the problem also occures on default post templates. The comment-sorting is completely messed up, no matter what you enter in the Discussion-settings.
Is there a hack to fix this asap?
Hello Catalin,
I don’t use the mobile theme and it would be great if there is a solution for the normal responsive theme, too.
Glad you could also reproduce the error.
Yes, without the 0 it works for me, too.
To enter 0 might be normal if you first entered an offset of 1 or 2 and if you don’t want it anymore, it might be normal to set it to 0 instead of emptying the field.
Hello Simion,
thank you for your test! I compared your filter-settings which are absolutely identical with mine.
But maybe I found the reason: Whats in the field “Offset posts” in your “General” tab? I assume it’s empty. Now enter 0 instead, save the page and see, what’s happening.
It works with no problems for normal posts.
The post-type podcast is inserted by the Podlove-Podcast-Plugin:
https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/podlove-podcasting-plugin-for-wordpress/
Other things like filters work with no problem for type podcast.
Thank you!
Hi Simion,
I changed some settings. Here are the results:
1. Changing to unique articles => error still there, same post appears again and again
2. Changing from “Load more …” to “Next Prev Ajax” => error still there
3. Set an offset of 1 => it works! Previous post do appear.
4. Trying different blogs with same custom post type => error appears there, too
So it seems to be a bug with custom post type. The offset is no solution, because the page doesn’t show the newest post of that custom post type.
And now comes my the tricky workaround for that bug 🙂
I set the offset to 0.5 – and this works! Newest post is shown and clicking the “Show more” button brings the previous posts.
But this workaround can’t be the solution, I think 😉
Hello Simion,
I set a Homepage with a lot of featured posts and categories
https://www.literaturcafe.de/
But I also want a page with all the posts in chronological order. I noticed, that this can be shown with
https://www.literaturcafe.de/?show=slide
https://www.literaturcafe.de/page/2/?show=slide
…
But this get-parameter does not look very nice. There is also the confusing word “Slideshow” in the title-tag and the breadcrumb navigation has the word “Blog” which links completely false to the first post of a page.
So I thought I could set a Posts Page as intended by WordPress and give this page a “speaking” URL. Like https://www.literaturcafe.de/posts/
Thank you!
I’m also using MailPoet (Version 2) and can’t confirm this error. Saving a newsletter works for me.
Hello Catalin,
I just checked this on one of your demo-websites and the bug happens there, too. So it’s definetly a bug in Newspaper and not on our side.

Hello Simion,
sorry, my error description was not correct: the pagination is shown, but no matter on which pagenumber I click, always the same (first) posts appear, if an offset ist set. I’ll send you admin access anyway.
Hello Simion,
no, there are hundreds of posts and many pages and the pagination is shown with no offset entered. But as soon as I set an offset about 1 or 3 the pagination is gone.
Hello Simion,
I see, that my definition of background was a bit unclear. I did not mean the back-background (the area left and right from the content). I really mean the background of the post itself. I created a TDB template for a category with the background under the post-text a bit more yellow than the main site color, which is white. And I want all posts in that category to have the yellow background, but this background still is white, no matter, if the main category is set correctly.
Thank you! Maybe in the future a cut at the more-tag (if there is one found in the post) would be another option.
I was now able to edit this in the main function of the cloud plugin. Thank you.
Thank you, Simion.
But manipulating the excerpt in tp_modules.php has no effect on category-templates created with the tagdiv-composer. Where can I change this output?
