I noticed, that your solution only works on categorys. But in this case it’s the wrong canonical (yoast does it right on catgeorys) and I got two canonicals there.

Maybe you know a solution to disalbe the Yoast canonical tag, but only for the paged frontpage-pages?

the pagination on my static front page works fine, only the canonical tag is the problem.

In the source cods you see: <link rel=”canonical” href=”http://dev.promicabana.de/wordpress/&#8221; /> instead of <link rel=”canonical” href=”http://dev.promicabana.de/wordpress/page/3/&#8221; />

I deactivated all plugins, deleted all browser caches – the problem persists. I even installed a fresh copy of the Yoast Seo plugin. It’s always the same: With YOAST – the canonical tag is false; without Yoast – the canonical tags are correct.

I tried “add_filter(‘wpseo_canonical’, ‘__return_false’);”, but that removes the canonical tags completely.

What? Any ad format? That’s the first time I heard that! I’m confused, since Google has its own list of supported ad networks: https://www.ampproject.org/docs/reference/extended/amp-ad.html

My ad network is unfortunately not supported 🙁

I would prefer Newspaper, but the most of my images are only 640px wide and not 696px or something. And it is not that simple to adjust the theme to a new size.

The thing is…I don’t have Google Adsense (and can’t go back) and I think I’m not the only one. And AMP has a limited amount of accepted advertisers. That’s why I (and probably a few others) need a fast mobile theme, but not AMP. 🙂

But not everyone wants to swim with the AMP-Wave. Personally I hate Google. Personally I hate AMP. I want to keep the functionality of my site as it is. 🙂

My css is already compressed. After manually deleting a lot of useless stuff and compressing it’s still over 400kb.

No offense, I love your theme, but the source code seems bloated. 🙂

That means, the code structure doesn’t matter for Google and Seo? Because I read on one SEO site: The content should simply placed above everything else (e.g. Sidebars) to achieve the best Seo results. But I don’t know.
