No, it’s not ok. I’m just confirming that the widgets are there and active. Any other ideas? I thought this is theme related, it’s part of the theme, a sidebar.

I found a nice way which isn’t the best solution from seo point of view, but it’s the best solution for UX – just add a custom link section to the menu with any url inside, then remove the url and drag sub-categories under the tab. This way the main category is not clickable within the menu on dekstop, but it’s clickable on mobile and the best thing – it opens the sub-menu, no need to tap exactly on the “>” sign!

this issue makes it really inconvenient for the users on mobile….
I would like the visitors to be able to see the sub categories/sections of the site easier. Most of the people click on the word/category name, not on the “>” sign.

This way (when visitors don’t click on the “>” sign) they can’t see directly what sub-categories the main category offers.

If I create custom static pages and redirect the product categories in question to the new page urls, the visitor will not’t immediately see all sections, what he/she would actually expect to happen, but will have to visit a page and scroll down in order to see what’s on it.

Is it possible to make the words/main category names unclickable (in general) so that on mobile the user will have to click on the “>” sign in order to see something happening?

I’ve come out with a solution for the 404 page, even not perfect, because both sections have to use the same menu (and I in fact use 2 different for my needs). Anyway, it seems that I can’t solve the issue myself in a clean way and without a plugin, so I had to installed a wordpress plugin (404page – your smart custom 404 error page), which now handles the 404 page for the magazine and for the shop(woocommerce) section. It uses the same 404 page (custom built using visual composer) for both sections of the site.

Unfortunately there’s an issue with displaying of the products, which are part of its design. You can see here: bit.ly/2wjOiIH
The page contains 1 row which includes a text block and products.

Can you help me to fix this?

I can’t disable the sidebar in the theme panel Shop home page + Shop Archives (that you showed above) as I will lose the place for widgets on Shop Archives(product category, product tag) pages.
As I mentioned, my shop home page (domain.com/магазин/) is made using visual composer (the same way you suggested). But when I enable a design with sidebar from the theme panel, the sidebar appears on all Shop Archives and on the Shop home page (even made custom made as a page) too ( bit.ly/2g27B2E ).

thank you for your reply. Before we dig deeper in the admin panel and I take more from your time, let me try to explain once again. Hopefully we can solve the issue easier.

Only one of the sidebars breaks the design of only one page – the shop home page (domain.com/магазин/). But actually, I don’t need a sidebar on it at all. I need to disable the sidebar on that page. It shouldn’t load at all, not just hidden.

The name of the sidebar that appears is: td_demo_sidebar_cat-tag-woo
The page in question is: domain.com/магазин

All other sidebars are working correct on the respective pages.

I didn’t know the theme can’t be messed with crawler errors. I thought that all “invisible” issues mostly come from a theme (or plugin) issue, not a wordpress one.

that plugin helps only for the standard 404 page. Doesn’t help.
I would like to create a custom 404 page in the theme options and use it for woocommerce 404 page the proper way.
