Quick question, when I upgrade my php to 5.3 or higher I get an error when trying to upload images. Is this a theme issue or a server issue?

Hi Chris, thanks for the response, yeah it was a problem with a setting in Yoast Seo in the permalinks I just unchecked- Strip the category base (usually /category/) from the category URL. and when I emptiedd the cache and re checked it it worked fine then.

Would you know why my menu bar is appearing as black on mobile, I have it set to clear but is still black

Thank you, one last thing that I have noticed, is when going on to the site and clicking between categories the default blue theme colour pops up for a split second as does default the black menu and then changes to white. How do I fix this

Hi, yes I am using version 1.6, I have deactivated all plugins apart from visual composer and purged files…and still all the same issues.

Number 7 is rectified, thank you…If anyone can help with the rest of the issues

Lucian, I followed what you said and the only way I can have new posts on the homepage is if I empty all caches each time I have a new entry. Which is what I have been doing just to continue to operate, but obviously this is not want it to be fixed. Only started having this problem after I uploaded new theme

I don’t know what to do

1. Open /wp-config.php

Now the first thing you need to do is to open the wp-config.php file from your WordPress root folder (you may access this file from your WordPress installer folder). From the installation folder, the file is located at wordpress/wp-config.php
2. Insert FS_METHOD

Paste the following code to your wp-config.php file, preferably just below every other line of code.

When you have already pasted the one-line code, you can proceed to upload the file to your WordPress root folder on your server, and it should work right away. Uploading can be done directly from your host control panel.

I did everything manually and my site is up and running now but with a number of problems.
1) The theme would not upload through wordpress, it would also not upload through filezilla, so I did it manually in my FTP.
2) When the theme was uploaded through my ftp i tried uploading the plugins through wordpress, I got the same errors, so I uploaded the included theme plugins through my ftp. However now none of my plugins can be updated, also I am running my theme with all the plugins deactivated because the plugins are breaking the theme, that includes the plugins that were included in the theme, as soon as I activate tagdiv speed booster the site looses all CSS. I am running the theme without the plugins because I have a very popular site with 20,000 visitors a day and cannot afford to have the site down any longer. I also went in and deleted all my old theme files from my ftp, thinking that somewhere they were conflicting with the new theme, but this made no difference.
The site is now significantly slower, with my previous theme I had a speed of 98 and now site speed is 37.
Could you let me know where I can send you login details so I can have you look at it. I need this resolved as soon as possible. I love the theme and would hate to have to switch back to my old theme. I never had any of these issues on my site before with my old theme.

Thank you, i manually installed without using filezilla..I however had to do the same with the plugins as they had directory problems too. Which now seems to affect the ones that need updating, so need to figure that out. I was wondering if you could answer another question, I stupidly installed the demo content, please tell me I can undo this, I have a site with a huge amount of content already and now my homepage is demo content 🙁 Also I have thousands of videos on my site, its a content curration site, my last theme waas using shortcodes which this theme isn’t supporting in my posts, is there a quick solution to this, as I obviously can’t go through thousands of videos to fix it.
