Alright changing WP-debug to false stopped the error from appearing.

Problem fixed. It was a mixed content issue. WordPress was serving the media as http instead of https. I use a subdomain for my images and didn’t set the upload_url_path with https.

Hello,

I am running into the same problem, only no preloading doesn’t fix the problem. The thumbnail loads on initial load, but when i use the ajax categories changer loads the post but not the thumbs. I checked the element in chrome devtools and the img tag is properly generated, just the image is not displaying.

Steps I already tried:
1. Force regenerate thumbnails.
2. Only Plugins that were installed are the one that come included with the theme. I also tried disabling each of them.
3.Tried both versions of preload and with out any preload. With either version of preload I got a grey box. With no preload I got a blank space.
4. Cleared cache.
5. On current theme version.
