Thank you for your reply, Calin.
What I’m looking for is a solution that adds a dedicated “Portfolio” section to WordPress (alongside the default “Posts” and “Pages”)—exactly like what you see in the attached image. That type of structure is quite common in many other WordPress themes.
I’ve read online that one possible way to achieve this is by using “Custom Post Type UI” along with “Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)”, but this method seems a bit complex and time-consuming.
Do you recommend a faster or simpler approach to achieve the same result using the Newspaper theme?
Thank you in advance!
Problem solved, thank you. I’m writing the solution here as it might be helpful for other users who are using the SiteGround “Speed Optimizer” plugin: go to the plugin settings → Media → Media Optimization → disable the “Lazy Load Media” option under the “Media” section. The gallery now works correctly on all devices. Thank you.
Alessandro.
Thank you as always, you’re truly an invaluable resource.
I cleared the cache and deactivated the SiteGround “Speed Optimizer” plugin, and now the image galleries are working perfectly on both the desktop and mobile versions.
I’ll now look into whether I can continue using the SiteGround plugin with different settings.
Have you encountered this issue before? Do you have any suggestions or best practices to ensure compatibility between Speed Optimizer and the Newspaper theme?
Thanks again, you’re amazing! 😊
Alessandro.

Hi Calin,
Finally, it works! The problem really seemed to be the missing image in the footer. Thank you for your precious help. 🙂
Hello Bettina,
thank you for your kind help. I’ve set both a background image and a background color, as you suggested. Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
I’m also sending you a video where you can see what happens when I click on the three lines of the hamburger menu.
This issue occurs only on 3 or 4 iPhone models I tested, while on Android it seems to work fine.

Thanks again, the home page was done.
I have some little issue:
1) I can’t re-create this slider with new theme version
( http://it.tinypic.com/r/2usekc7/9 )
2) I would like to remove this little icon on every post in homepage ( http://it.tinypic.com/r/2upzqs2/9 )
Please, can you help me to solve this issues?
Thanks in advance.

Please, could you help me accomplish that?
I will appreciate a lot…
Thanks.
Alessandro.
Thanks a lot for your kind information! Appreciate that!
But, sorry, I can’t find in the “how to update” guide any script to run to import DB settings…
Thank you for your kind reply.
I just use apache with PHP 5.6.
Can you advise me the beste way to limit queries without changing megamenu and disable XMLRPC ?
Is there some plugin to disable track back, ping back…
Thanks a lot.
Is there a way to convert the code for new template version?

I have another big big big issue with Siteground hosting.
I have a cloud server (3 CPU Cores, CentOS, 5GB RAM, 80GB SSD) and a few months I started to have some server down with this error: “503 service temporarily unavailable”. It appear about 1 time per hour approx. In last months I make a lot of changing, suggested by Siteground senior support (installed plugins, restricted bots visits…) They always said me that the issue was on the website where I have installe Newspaper template, and that might need to update it to solve this issue of server crash/down.
Well, after the total update the issue remain…
I think that could be for the big database (285 mb approx).
Do you have some experience with this server issue or some suggestion?
Thank you…
