it doesn’t work… the size is always “300×250”… and that’s a huge problem, especially since most of my traffic is mobile so the ads are HUGE and cover most of the screen.

the ad size doesn’t even seem to work on desktop…

when i choose a certain size, it just defaults to a different size…

so for example, when i choose the size (inside the post): “width:728px;height:90px”

i always get the following size: “300×250”

removing all the widgets in the “td_demo_category” doesn’t work either… it simply removes all the widgets in all the catogires…

2. when i go to the widget there are 3 sections which i focus on: (referring to the ad box and widgets in general)

1. “Newspaper default” – deals with the homepage sidebar (doesn’t seem to affect any of the other sidebars)
2. “td_demo_category” – deals with ALL the categorize sidebars including the video category, when i change the position of one of the widgets (ad box) it changes in all the categories i created.
3. “td_demo_sidebar_video” – doesn’t affect ANY of the categorizes, when i change the ad box position nothing happens…

i only want to remove the ad box in the video category… but the “td_demo_sidebar_video” doesn’t seem to do anything… so i still need help with my second issue.

another issue:

i’d like to remove the sidebar ad in my video posts (since i have 3 ads on the page already and it’s against the adsense TOS to have more than 3 ads on a page)

but the page doesn’t seem to change when i remove the ad in the “td_demo_sidebar_video” widget

it only react to the “rd_demo_category” widget…

so how can i remove the sidebar ad only in the video posts?

1. the class is only removed inside a particular post, which means it doesn’t affect anything beside the post itself – so nothing else within the site is changed.

2. i checked the post both on the pc and on multiple mobile devices and it seems to work fine so far. nothing besides the image size, position and clickablity changed.

3. if you provide an actual solution to this problem it’ll be much appreciated (in an update), since your other theme doesn’t have this issue and i personally don’t see a reason (in most cases) why would anyone want their images to be clickable and create a slider… (it distracts the visitor and moves him away from the content)

4. it’s your staff that suggested that i remove a huge chunk of the code, they RECOMMENDED it:

their suggested change DID actually ruin the theme as i got the following message:

“Unpacking the package…

The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”

the change i suggested only affects the post in question (there’s no reason why it would affect any other part of the theme as it’s unrelated and the class remains unchanged) and can be easily changed back if there’s an issue (since you only change the html code for the particular post)

i actually found a way to “break” the mold while keeping the smart list. (writing this for people who want to control their image position and size)

in your post html code (Edit Post –> Text)

you need to remove the “wp-image” class from all your images. (it should look like this: “class=”wp-image-567”)

to find them all, you simply click Ctrl+F and type “wp-image” and delete them one by one (with the number).

so if you have 10 images, you’ll need to delete this class 10 times.

simple solution which unfortunately wasn’t provided by the support, thanks anyway…

1. i’d happily provide a link to my website in a private conversation.
2. when i upload an image to my post i get to decide what size and position it will be, unfortunately the smart list now decides the size… instead of re-sizing to the the size and position (center) i chose (unlike your other theme i also bought which works fine), it uses the full size and puts the image on the left size. i’m not sure what other information you want… i guess you have to see it to understand.
3. i already removed the code, it gives me the error above! i did EXACTLY what he said.
4. i already explained the issue twice, how can i be any clearer?

– i’m using a smart list.
– i chose the size and position of the image i want to use, it should look like this:

the things is that i didn’t have that problem with the first TWO articles i created on the website (using a smart list).

will removing that code solve the image size and position as well? (right now the size and position i choose doesn’t take effect)

also, is it possible to add an option to theme in the future just like your newsmag theme?
i bought that theme as well and this issue doesn’t exist there…

i uploaded an image, chose style number 2 for the smart list option and uploaded the posted…
but the image is clickable for some reason and create a slider for all the images, and i don’t want that to happen, in fact i’m not even sure why it does.

i bought your other theme and this doesn’t happen there…

all ads are set to work on mobile, desktop etc. and the code is simply copied from adsense just like i did with the other ads which work. i tried different types of ads but none of them work with the article option… the ad simply doesn’t show (even after a few days)
