Hello —
I have made a Staging website, and removed the plug-ins — one at a time, to see the results.
As it turns out, when I remove “TagDiv Composer” then the Youtube frames operate properly.
Obviously I cannot deactivate TagDiv Composer ! (smiles) But that seems to be the guilty plug-in.
I am using Newspaper Version 11.4.3 and WordPress 5.9.3
I didn’t update it because of the original issues with WordPress 6.0. I know those issues have been resolved, but I haven’t updated yet.
Perhaps the Youtube frame issue is resolved with Version 11.5.1 ?
Or with WordPress 6.0 ?
This is the “work-around” on my home page.
It is not good — for the viewer, the Slider operates differently than every other Flexblock on the page. And differently from every website photo that everyone is used to clicking on.

Please fix this ! Thank you.

Hello —
You wrote: “The slide was design to link only if you click on the post title.”
I would consider this a necessary and required improvement to the Slider, if your programmers can fix this.
As it is now, I have no idea if my viewers are being frustrated and do not know how to use the Slider — that is, if they click on the right side of the photo nothing happens, but if they click on the left side of the photo then they are taken to that article.
With every other image in a Flexblock on the website — the user can click anywhere on the image. But not on this one.
Please consider adding this improvement to the Slider. Otherwise it is inconsistent with every other photo link.

Hello —
This is not resolved.
If the user clicks on the image in an area above the title, then the link will work.
If it is a short title and the user clicks on the right side of the image (that is, not in the area above the title) then the link will not work.
Is there a solution to this?
It seems that the slider should be designed to link anywhere on the image.
Thank you.
Yes, it the scroll-to-top button does display properly in Chrome incognito mode. But not in my regular viewing. I’ve tried turning off the WordPress toolbar — no difference.
I’ll ask some friends to check on their displays.
Any clues why the button doesn’t show up on my home computer? I suppose it could be an ad-blocker or some extension on my Chrome browser.
Thank you.
The Scroll to Top button does not show up on a Chrome browser.
It does display with Firefox.
Any clues on this ?
Thank you.
(It does display on a Mobile screen.)

Hello —
On Theme Panel > Layout Settings > Template Settings > ToTop button — I have both Enable Button and Show on Mobile set to on. Scroll to Top button shows up on Mobile, but not on desktop screen. I’m using Pulses Pro.
Any clues on this ?
Thank you.
Hello —
With all respect, I find your answer to not be helpful.
I understand that the iframe width works for you. I watched the video of you inserting the embed code directly as HTML. I already tried that — the problem is with that method too.
Previously it worked for me, and now it does not.
Disabling the plug-ins is not practical — it would shut down many pages of my site. But if that’s what I need to do to convince you that I have a problem here, then I’ll do it in the middle of the night some time.
But I sincerely doubt that one of these plug-ins is affecting the iframe width. The video width works on Pages — it does not work on Posts.
You have programmers there. Can’t someone look at this page and figure out what is wrong?
Please help.
Thank you.

Here is a simple test page:
https://arcata1.com/?p=3044&preview=true
It consists of:
<p>Here the Youtube code is inserted directly as HTML.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>width = 315</p>
<p> </p>
<p><iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/612uI4Z7jsc?start=7065" width="315" height="177" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
Here is a list of my Plug-ins. Many are back-end, and only affect the editing, or fixing thumbnnails, etc. The music players were added yesterday — the video width problem occurred before that.

Hello —
I am using this CSS as you wrote above. It works great.
.td-theme-slider .td-slide-nav {
opacity: 1!important;
z-index: 1!important;}
Three questions:
— Can I adjust the vertical position of the “Previous” and “Next” slide icons? If I could, I would like the slide icon arrows to be close to the top of the image.
— Is it possible to add a “Pause” button — probably through CSS — and select that icon, color, and location?
— A question about saving for a Mobile layout. I would like to have the slide icon arrows be different size for Mobile than for desktop/laptop. Would I just save while the Mobile icon is shown, and the program will recognize that one parameter for a Mobile?
I tried this one time — it did not work well for me. The settings for Mobile layout also were displayed on a tablet, which made for a bad display on the tablet. When saving a page or post for Mobile, do you suggest that “Landscape viewport” and “Portrait viewport” also be adjusted and saved at the same time?
It would seem that the display settings for a tablet would be better if it defaulted to Desktop viewport rather than defaulting to Mobile viewport.
Thanks much for a very flexible program.

Edit of above:
If you have a suggestion, let me know. Unlike furkan-g who has 300,000 images to deal with, I have only 30 or 40, so if I have to put the html (a href) in each caption then I can do that — if you can figure out what would work. Let me know what you think would work. Thank you.
I tried putting an the html (a href) in the caption line, but that didn’t work — the link there did not work at all.
Thank you.
Hi, Calin —
Yes, it is working…sort of. It’s not ideal.
If there is short title of just a few words, the clickable area is only the area vertically from those words. That is, if the words are on under the left half of the image, then the user would have to click on the left half of the image to get to the link. If the user clicks on the right portion of the image, nothing would happen.
If you have a suggestion, let me know. Unlike furkan-g who has 300,000 images to deal with, I have only 30 or 40, so if I have to put an “” in each caption then I can do that — if you can figure out what would work. Let me know what you think would work. Thank you.
I tried putting an “” in the caption line, but that didn’t work.
Thank you. I have article titles on top of the image, and it turned out that padding-right:100% affected the display of the titles — making a short line out it and doing line breaks in the middle of a word.
So that won’t work.
I am using your first CSS suggestion with padding-top: 100%;
so I’ll see what the user response is.
Also: How did you know to respond so quickly? Do you get a message when something is posted to you query? I would like that — where is that set up? Thank you.
Thank you.
I looked at your website — so I could see that it could be done.
More clever than the original “200px” approach.
But still doesn’t work completely.
If area where the link is valid is the width of the text.
If the text is the width of the image, then the link will also be with width of the image. But if the text is only a few words and is short, then the link extends only to the area above the text. So it does not work well — someone would have to click right in the area above the text.
Any thoughts? Your solution is better. Is there a CSS that would cover the entire image?
Thanks you.
I looked at the website for furkan-g — from the question above.
https://www.edirnetv.com/ Home Page slider.
On his website, the image DOES link correctly to the page.
On my website, if I put the in the caption, it does not link.
What has furkan-g done to make this work?
Thank you.
Also: Is there a way to put a Pause button on the slider ?
Perhaps a “=” right under the right-side “>” symbol.
Catlin, with that CSS Code —
If area where the link is valid goes up from the text. If the test is the width of the image, then the link will also be with width of the image. But if the text is only a few words and is short, then the link extends only to the area above the text. So it does not work well — someone would have to click right above the text.
Any solution on this ? I designed my home page around the Slide element. Is there a different Slide you can suggest?
Or different CSS ? Or different place to put the ?
Thank you.
Hello —
I tried this CSS code.
.td_block_slide .td-slide-meta a{
padding-top: 200px;
}
It resulted in a gray or black-colored square over the image, coming up from the Category. So that is not good.
Any other CSS perhaps?
I tried putting text in the caption.
That does not work at all. — the link is not connected to the image.
Is there another way of putting in the ??
Thank you — my site is Arcata1.com
Hello, Calin —
I am new to CSS and relatively new to TagDiv.
When I use the code you supplied, it will put “Updated on: ” in front of the Single Post Modified Date (that’s good).
But it also puts “Updated on” in front of the Single Post date.
Can you tell me the CSS code that would put “Updated on: ” ONLY in front the modified date?
On the Flexblock it looks fine.
But on the page template, I have both the written date and the modified date. And so that CSS code puts “Updated on: ” there twice — before both the original date and the modified date — it’s not good.
Thank you.
.td-module-date:before{
content: “Updated on: “;
}
Hello —
I cannot edit pages. I cannot add new pages.
I assume that this the same for everyone who upgrade to WP 6.0.
Do we roll-back to a 5.9 version? What do you suggest I do so that I can do work here ?
Thank you.
Hello. You wrote:

Hi, Currently, version 11.5 is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress.
We will also add fixes for any issues that arise, with the latest version of WordPress in the next theme update.
Thank you!

Please investigate this further. WordPress updated to 6.0 yesterday (May 24).
When in TagDiv Composer (editing a page) on a “Text with title” the normal operation is to click on “Edit Content” and then a WP editor appears, so that the content can be edited.
Clicking on Edit Content now brings up the editing box but with “endless circle” — and the editor does not load.
I could edit the .htaccess file — but I do not think that’s the issue.
Everything worked fine until the 6.0 upgrade.
Please look in to this. I cannot edit my pages.
Thank you.
I turned it on and off a few times —
Now the scroll-to-top button is there on the desktop.
If it goes away again, I’ll write here again.
I have a memory of being able to adjust that button — the size, color, symbol on it. Can that be done ?
Thanks.
It looks like this is the answer:
The WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) have to be the same.
It is working now.
