I assume this has been updated, we have sites using the theme and FBIA
Adding following up to replies.
Is there anything new with this? This is a huge shortcoming — you guys need to ensure featured videos roll into the RSS Feed generated by the FB Instant Articles plugin…
Thanks a lot.
I was close, I was trying to add the if statement inside the $buffy and it was breaking it.
Thanks again.
Positioning is not an issue.
How can I hide the icon if the author does not have a twitter account linked to their author meta?
Thanks
Sadly disabled Yoast AND Jetpack..still happening.
http://www.statter911.com/2015/08/06/caught-on-video-bowstring-truss-roof-collapse-at-bowling-alley-fire/
It’s happening to any video using this template and set as a video:
http://www.statter911.com/2015/08/06/early-video-from-3-alarm-apartment-fire-in-berks-county-pa/
And Facebook doesn’t like it to the point the post is not sharable.
Seems to be even when YOAST is deactivated, or OG in Yoast is….only appears to happen when using Newspaper theme.
Getting this message in YOAST however no second plugin name is listed, its like something built into theme is conflicting:
The plugin(s) might cause issues when used in conjunction with Yoast SEO.
Both Yoast SEO and create OpenGraph output, which might make Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks use the wrong texts and images when your pages are being shared.
Sorry but this is still happening. We disabled Yoast and its still happening. We even disabled Yoast. It doesn’t appear YOAST is doing it.
See all the OG Video stuff being added:

Any other ideas?
Also the result of this is Facebook trying to play a video on the Newsfeed, which doens’t work and just creates a blank white space mostly.
Can this be disabled somehow so articles with videos still show as content type article? or at least this functionality gets disabled and it shows like a regular post on Facebook with a large thumbnail?

My issue with Social Counter is that it’s not showing up as an available widget, even though the plugin is activated..
Also ref Child Theme issue…I’m using 6.1….

Thank you as always for the support, I’ll look at the documentation on the JS stuff.
Expanding on my question you asked about: “About IF the article inline ad does show up, that the article bottom is hidden? I’m not sure i understand your question.”
I’m asking … AdSense only allows 3 total ads on the page. So I’m asking, if I set the inline ad to appear on articles with three or more paragraphs, and it ends up activating — can I automatically DISABLE the ad spot below the article to avoid having 4 total ads on the page?

Noticed when enabling a child theme with no customizations to the child theme…..still throws off the big boxes on the home page only…no where else.
I activated the social counter plugin but it does not appear to be showing up in my list of widgets
Can the inline ad only be enabled on certain post templates?
In reference to hiding ads by using CSS..that’s not working for us because unfortunatley, using a div to hide the header ad for instance — the ad still gives an impression in adsense but just the div gets hidden. How can we outright ensure the code itself doesn’t even display?
Also is there a straightforward way that IF the article inline ad does show up, that the article bottom is hidden?
Perfect thanks.
Is there a cheat sheet on how to hide different ad slots from different post types?
For example, we want to hide the “Header Ad” on Post Styles 1 & 11
For last question here is example:
http://www-statter911-com.firstarriving.staging.wpengine.com/2015/06/24/must-see-motorcycle-crashes-head-on-into-fire-truck/
We’re like to move “Related Articles” that’s in black now under the video down to below the post body content in the white background area.
Great theme, btw.
Thanks, this seems to have done the trick
Next question, on Type 11 — how can we remove the “Related Articles” from below the video (we feel it cuts off people from realizing there’s more content below) BUT put in Related Articles below the post body instead like where it usually is?
Thanks
Dave
