Hi Catalin,

I have read all the SSL trouble-shooting links that you have provided, as well as those in tadDiv’s knowledge base. I have also read Cloudflare’s information on the subject. I have followed all the guidelines and toggled between setings in every combination I could think of as a process of elimination. I have a green padlock on the website, it functions perfectly fine other than the tagDiv composer plugin issue. I have not come across an instance that replicates my particular problem and how it was solved.

Hi Catalin,

Your tech team was able to get the tagDiv plugin to work by editing the .htaccess file with this code:

<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

However I was told by them the the actual problem should be fixed, which is a mixed content error that is triggered when attempting to access the tagDiv composer plugin. See error here— https://www.screencast.com/t/Sctdkn81x84Y

Since I have a green padlock and the SSL works fine on the website except for the tagDiv composer plugin, it seems logical to reinstall the tagDiv composer plugin. Could you tell me how to do this?

Hi Catalin,

I created a page rule on Cloudflare that removes the admin area of the website from any of Cloudflare’s settings. I now receive an “Error 520” when attempting to access the tagDiv composer plugin. The “Live CSS” feature of the theme does work. So I did remove Cloudflare from the equation as tagDiv email support suggested with no luck. Other than this, the site works perfectly fine.

Hi Catalin,

I just forwarded the information as you requested. Thanks for your help.

Hi Catalin,
The website has already been converted to SSL and running through Cloudflare. Everything is working perfectly. The ONLY glitch is that the Tag Div composer on the home page will not load— I keep receiving a “522 Error”. Tech support at Cloudflare is confused by this also. I have toggled Cloudflare settings as well as WordPress plugins. No luck. I was thinking of deleting the Tag Div Plugin, then reinstalling it. However, I could not find anything in the knowledge base about how to do this properly. Would you know how to remove and reinstall the Tag Div Composer plugin without damaging the existing content? Thank you.

Catalin,
Thank you for your response. I have read those requirements, as well as been in conversation with Cloudflare support. For some reason, when I try to access the tag div composer for the home page, I receive a “522 Error”. Cloudflare’s support just recommended I change the SSL mode from “Flexible” to “Strict”. That caused the site to not work at all. So I have gone through toggling all of Cloudflare’s settings, as well as toggling on/off all website plugins, no luck. I cannot get the Tag Div Composer on the home page to work— I get the “522 Error” every time. I thought maybe someone in these forums may have experienced the same issue and could share the solution.

Hi Simon.

Let me clarify my question. If I have 10 “featured” posts, and I want the 10th post (which is the oldest published date) to appear first in the featured block grid, how can I accomplish this this?

Did not know that. Thank you.

Additional Information to original post—
The problem is with any Smart List Template that uses the “Prev” and “Next” scrolling features. They all begin to stack under the Number 10 entry in the Smart List. When I switch to a template where there are no “Prev” and “Next” options, but a continuous scroll on a single page, the Smart List works fine.

That got it working. Thank you.

@ Simion C. I purchased Newspaper 8.5 Theme about a week ago. The multi-purpose plugin was not functioning properly from the initial install. After upgrading to 8.5.1 the multi-purpose plugin still does not function with the Child Theme active. Only when the Child Theme is disabled will the multi-purpose plugin work. I performed a fresh install of WordPress & Newspaper 8.5.1 (re-downloaded all files) with no additional plugins outside of the Newspaper 8.5.1 Theme to check for conflict, and the the multi-purpose plugin still does not function with the Child Theme active.
See these screen caps—

* Error message with both Child Theme and multi-purpose plugin in Newspaper 8.5.1 are “active”. SCREEN CAPTURE
• System Status Panel Shows all “green lights”. SCREEN CAPTURE
• Error appears only when Child Theme is “active”. Works fine when Child Theme is “inactive”. SCREEN CAPTURE

@ Simion C. I’m developing locally in MAMP, so I cannot provide you with a login. I did disable the Child theme— the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin now appears to work. The buttons are available in the elements section of tagDiv Composer now. So what can I do about the Child Theme? Is there a replacement? I am using the Child Theme that came with the Newspaper Theme download, which I purchased about a week ago.

UPDATE: Newspaper 8.5.1 was just released and installed. Nothing was corrected.

I made all modifications suggested in the “System Status” section of the “Themes Panel”. I also installed a fresh install of WordPress and Newspaper 8.5 on MAMP. And still none of the buttons are available under “Elements” when I try to edit and build the page with tagDiv Composer. See screen capture here.
Also strange, Notice when the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin is active, the Admin Themes Panel color scheme converts to flat gray. The Admin Themes Panel color scheme is blue in Newspaper 8.5 (same as it was in 8.2) when the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin is disabled. I noticed in the Newspaper 8 tutorial videos, no such “gray theme” appears when the plugin is active.

I made all the changes. Same thing— When any AD category is clicked, there is an endless loop of the “processing” icon. This occurs with every “AD” category in the Themes Panel. Disabling the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin restores access to all the ads category panels.
QUESTION: The Admin Themes Panel color scheme is blue in Newspaper 8.5 (same as it was in 8.2). However, when the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin is active, the Admin Themes Panel color scheme converts to flat gray. See screen capture here. Disabling the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin returns the Admin Themes Panel color scheme back to blue. I noticed in your tutorial videos this “gray version” of the Admin Themes Panel does not appear. Perhaps this is a clue to whatever is malfunctioning?
NOTE:
I also receive this error message See screen capture here when the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin is active. Additionally, none of the buttons appear in the “Elements” section of the tagDiv Composer which this plugin is supposed to enable.
