I guess I am confused. Why does the sidebar, when enabled, crop all images to the portrait style? Also, is there a recommended size so that the images display at full resolution on the slideshow preview?

And, by the way, thank you for your patience with me on this issue.

And, it still doesn’t work when a sidebar is enabled?

I want my portrait images to display like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/jkf4bJcDyS

Is there no way to remove the crop and just display the full image?

So is there a solution to my issue or is it just best to not use portrait oriented images?

I believe I have the correct thumbs enabled: http://imgur.com/a/qLCRN

Disabling the plugins did not have an effect as far as I can tell.

By removing the sidebar I was able to get the images to display somewhat better.

Here are some screenshots I put together: http://imgur.com/a/vwcWu

I was able to go into the inspector and see that the images src urls are being changed by adding new dimensions like “1068×580” or “140×420” depending on the sidebar or not. When removing those dimensions and just using the standard src url the pictures look perfect (as is the case of the first screenshot) but I am only able to do that within the inspector and not able to make it permanent.
