I think I’m a little closer. I can actually create my own page using tagDiv Composer and The Events Calendar will actually allow me to add in their default shortcode [tribe_events]. How exactly do I add that in at a page? I tried RawHTML with no luck. Thank you!

Hi, I have a similar question. I am also using The Events Calendar. It creates a page for you. I can choose Default Events Template, Default Page Template, Pagebuilder + Overlay menu, Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination, or Pagebuilder + page title. Is there any way I can create my own template that I can select from this drop down at the Event settings? Basically, I would love to have a large header image, so if I can create my own template to apply here, that would be great. I want it to still look like the theme I am using Lifestyle Magazine, but just have a header image for the Events page. Again, I am allowed to chose the template for events from a drop down, so I would like to include my own modified template there.

Hi, I would like a new page to have a sidebar, but no articles. Is this possible? I’m just using a default right sidebar throughout my blog.

When creating a new page, seems the only template I can choose is a right sidebar “with articles”. And then I want my content to the left of the sidebar. Thank you!

so i can’t get back into TD Composer. if i look at the code in the basic WordPress edit, the code has turned into a pile of letters. i can remove those, and get back into TD Composer, but when i try again with the Raw HTML, I get the same issue. can’t get back in again. why is this happening and what can i do?

well dang. it seemed to be working, but now when i try to go to TD Composer for my home page, it doesn’t load. I get this error, “Errors at columns elements: 1(models) : 2(dom). The model does not match the content”. seems i’m stuck.

i was able to pull it off. i viewed the source of your HTML code for the Lifestyle Magazine demo, pulled out the 3 blocks at the top, pasted them into a Raw HTML block, and changed the URLs to category pages. if there’s ever a way to do this with composer instead, please let me know. and thank you for all your help. i am loving this theme!

if i can’t do 3 blocks at the top with the TD Composer, each block linking to different category pages, do you suggest I just code them with HTML to give the look of the lifestyle magazine theme, yet linking to category pages instead of post pages?

Thank you so much for your response. So there’s no way to make three big category blocks (first block is always fashion, second block is always travel, third block is always dining) and the whole block is clickable to a category page (not a post page)?

If possible, I’d love for the block to preview (image) the latest post in that category, but again, still link to a category page.

had a little betty luck in safari/mac, but it was still a crazy set of steps to make it work, and im not exactly sure how i got it to work. seemed as though it was some sort of right click while dragging to the right corner. but it wasn’t consistently working. just kept messing with it until i would see the orange red box in the right corner.

none of this is working for me. right click does not work. there is no right click menu at all for me. just the basic right click browser menu. and i am right clicking right on the little blue “row” icon. i also don’t have the drag to the right corner of the screen option. when i drag a row to the right corner of the screen, i do not get that orange pop up in the corner. also, your video does not show key strokes. i assume you clicked on the row and hit the delete button? if so, that is not working for me either. im using chrome for a mac.

ps – can you go slower in the video next time? thanks so much for all of your help.

when i click on the 3 dots, i do not have the embed option. i searched for it all over, including in the “Share” options.

I am receiving the same error. I’ve never used Newspaper. I got it installed and when I got to the step for installing the plugins via the WordPress interface, everything just stopped working. I can’t even log into the WordPress admin anymore, I get this error:

I would LOVE this to work with Facebook Groups. Facebook is heavily ignoring pages now in favor of groups. Their revised mission is community for its facebook members, so now Groups show up in Facebook feeds long before a Page will. Therefore, most businesses are now starting Groups instead of Pages. They are getting very popular. A Facebook Group is my main source of content at the moment, and I am creating a website to supplement and link back to the Group. A badge/counter would be nice. Facebook just started offering developers access to code for groups.
