Well, that is what’s not working!

I would rather use the shortcode option. But when I paste it into a post, it only show the code as text – it does not render the code to a block.

But from what I understand and can see, this is done on a template level. I would have to change my cloud template, right?

What about all the posts where I don’t want to have inline blocks/content then?
Will it not look wrong then?

Is there not a way to add a block to a post, just like I add an image or table?

I have looked through the link you gave me and I honestly fail to see the solution to my problem among the information I read.

In the end we did a complete clean install. But unfortunately the result is the same. Will contact you via mail now.

We have the same problem. Running latest theme version and WordPress 4.8.1.

In our case, even though we get the error message, our changes are still saved! But it would be nice to get it fixed.

Clean install is not an option for us.
