Thank you for your reply. Please check the homepage I am working on: site

On the right hand side you will see white blocks Test 1 and Test 2. Test 1 is a column text with a shortcode for an optin form and Test 2 is a title with text with some text in it. I wanted white background on both, but once I set the background color to white the content of the blocks disappear (or get covered by the white color). The same happens if I use an image block.

I did the exact same thing with the block right below it (social counter) and it works fine. I am using the Architecture Blog demo. Am I doing something stupid?

Sorry if I am asking a stupid question. I am trying to follow your instructions above, but the file demo_style.css opens in a browser (safari). How can I edit it?
