Thank you @AndreL. That’s great. I had actually attempted to buy the visual composer premium and could not conclude because my payment had issues. I am glad it did not go through.

How then do I update it since it keeps reminding me that the plug in needs to be updated.

I solved the problem.

Go to your themeforest account and download the updated version of the theme.

Then go to your wordpress, deactivate the theme by choosing another one and delete the current newsmag. Your data and design wont be lost.

Install the new download from themeforest and activate it.

You will have to buy the new version of visual composer at $36 since its update is not covered in this new update of newsmag.

If that doesn’t help you, then contact theme creators.
