@bobwei: Thank you very much! That fixed the problem!

Everything needed to be installed (and activated) again after the update to the latest version 12.6.1:

Thank you Anamaria,

it works.

Hello Anamaria,

didn´t I wrote that in the topic?

It is the “Woo Loop Shortcode” element.
You can see it in action at this URL: https://www.motivationsheld.de/shop/

Here is a screenshot from this element in my TagDiv Composer backend:
https://prnt.sc/aWcB4EVbkrI0

Please let me know a solution.

Thank you

Good Evening,

in the meanwhile I have added some more products. I believe that you can see (understand) my problem better now. The books are displayed nearly good, but all other products are too much cropped.

I see only two options:

Option 1 (PREFERED OPTION): I can set in your TagDiv theme that each picture has to be displayed in its original dimension. But I have no idea, if this is possible with the “Woo Loop Shortcode”?

Option 2: I customise each picture local (in Photoshop) to the same dimension before I upload it to my Shop. And the “Woo Loop Shortcode” is customised to exactly this dimension. –> But also here: I tried several options but didn´t find any suitable solution.

Please let me know.

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Hello Bettina!

In your first screenshot your red arrow shows to the “ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS” section. I have such a section, too … But only when I want to add an image to a post.

But in this case we are talking about “adding a product image”, right?
This screenshot shows, where I have to click in my backend:
https://prnt.sc/z_C2b4LOeisT

And here I don´t have such a section called “ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS” – here is a screenshot:

Hi Bettina!

1. I followed your suggestion. 200% image heigth is too much. I put it to 150% “image height” –> I can live with that. It´s ok. Thank you!

Anyway: As you can see, all product images are still cut off in the width. As you can see on my shop page, especially the product “smart watch” is cut off on the right side … How can I fix it and achieve to display all product images in full (in the width)?

2. If I import a “new blank Woo Archive Template” from the TAGDIV cloud, I can realise such a featured image in all my Shop categories? It is posible by using the TagDiv Composer? Or do I have to use any third party product?

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Hi,

In the meanwhile I figured out how to realise such a navigation list with the “List Menu”. Everything is fine here and I´m happy.

Please allow me three other questions, which refer still to my shop page at https://www.motivationsheld.de/shop/

1. IMAGES IN THE “WOO-LOOP SHORTCODE”
As you can see, the images in the Woo-Loop Shortcode are displayed as a square. I don´t like that, because most of my products are books and books are never squares but something like rectangles. So what I want is that the WIDTH of each product image stays the same, but the HEIGHT of the product image doubles (i.e. a rectangle). I have already tested all variations in the “Woo Loop Shortcode” in the “Layout” tab under “Product Image –> Image Size”. The size of the image itself then changes, but the container(???) of the product image is and remains a square. How can I make a rectangle out of this?

2. FEATURED IMAGE
All my Newspaper Website categories (like this one: https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/) have at the top a featured image including “page title”, “breadcrumbs”, “category description” and “category siblings”. This looks awesome!

2a) I want exactly the same for all my TAGDIV-SHOP categories
2b) On my Shop Page (https://www.motivationsheld.de/shop/) I want the same “Background Image” + “Page Title” + “short description text”

How can I realise both?

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Hi Anamaria,

I just updated to Version 12.2

Is it now possible as you said?

And: I would appreciate if you can give me a link to all available documentations / manuals for realising such an affiliate Shop with TAGDIV.

Thank you!

Olli
tagDiv Member

Hello Anamaria,

No – I want to use your standard Shop.

By “affiliate” I mean that I don’t have any products of my own and want to offer affiliate products from other manufacturers in my TAGDIV shop.

So the crucial point is that I cannot and do not want to offer the possibility of direct ordering in my shop. Instead, I want to set affiliate links – like you can see in this screenshot:
https://prnt.sc/iiSsMVEiMe-3

Example:

Product 1: A book
– Headline
– Product image
– Product description
– Affiliate links to possible purchase sources such as Amazon

Product 2: A smart watch
– Headline
– Product image
– Product description
– Affiliate links to possible purchase sources such as Amazon

Please have a look at this shop again:
https://www.careelite.de/nachhaltigkeit-shop/

It is purely an affiliate shop and I want to do the same with my TAGDIV Shop. My question is: is that possible with the TAGDIV shop?

Best Regards,
Oliver

Hello Bettina!

No, this doesn´t work either.

This is how it looks now:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/lebensziele-erreichen/

The row with the “Category Background Image” became smaller in the width now. Now it has not anymore the same width as the header (navigation) and the “post loops”. This is not what I want.

The background image (on the left and right) is still the same problem.

This is a screenshot of the (same) category in my category-settings:
https://prnt.sc/fz78dcGSyo0O

What do we try now?

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Hi Bettina,

it seems that the links to my screenshots are broken …

Anyway … I now made a screenshot which describes my problem even better:

https://bilderupload.org/bild/ab2b02764-newspaper-problem

Please understand that I just want one thing:
Changing The background image into another picture! OR: giving the background a CSS rule to paint it white (#ffffff). Another picture would be better, but both solutions are fine for me.

Everything else (the picture at the top, boxed layout, sizings, …) should stay exactly as it is!

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Hello Bettina,

this didn´t help, too. The archive boxes are still filling out the complete space from left to right – and that is not what I want.

Please let me explain it again by showing you a screenshot:
https://prnt.sc/DFkRhJw-fUey

In this screenshot, I am showing you 3 fields:

Field Number 1: I want to KEEP (!) this area as an empty space, but I don´t want that image as background. I either want the background WHITE (#ffffff) or a custom background image (which is different to the image in field number 2).

Field Number 2: Everything perfect here! No changes!

Field Number 3: Same as field number 1

This is a screen shot of my settings for the category, which I showed you with above screenshot: https://prnt.sc/_c7XKhBgXFVF

And this is a screenshot of my setting (due to your last suggestion, which doesn´t fix my problem): https://prnt.sc/_c7XKhBgXFVF

Thank you!

Hello Bettina,

no – that didn´t fix the problem.
Please have a look here now:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/konzentration-steigern/

By switching the button “BACKGROUND BOXED LAYOUT” to disabled, the category boxes now take up the entire space from left to right.

This is not what I want.

I want to keep the empty space on the left and right – as for example here:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/lebensziele-erreichen/

BUT: I don´t want the featured image (of the category) to be repeated in the background.

I either want a DIFFERENT IMAGE or just WHITE COLOR (CSS: hex code #ffffff) in the background.

How can I do that?

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Me again …

Please also see this screenshot:
https://www.directupload.net/file/d/6560/8yhlchnm_jpg.htm

It is a screenshot of my website which I made some minutes ago through my mobile phone. As you can see on the screenshot the AMP version seems to work, but something is going absolutely wrong here …

Please help.

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

I´ve sent you an e-mail with all necessary information.

Thank you!

Hello Bettina!

Something seems to be wrong here in my setup. But I don’t understand what I did wrong?

Please note this screenshot of my post:
https://www.screencast.com/t/OdHw9UVIkN

By clicking on that link (Single Post Template 40 – Fast News) everything is streched in full in the front-end. This is what I DON´T want. (but it only appears for this single post. All other posts are not effected)

Now please note this screenshot:
https://www.screencast.com/t/MQTqRUMqoIB

By clicking on that link (Global Template) everything is as I want it in the front-end of my post (but it only appears for this single post, all other posts are still the same). NOTE: THIS IS HOW I WANT ALL OF MY POSTS

Very strange: If I switch between those two options (links) in my categories, nothing happens. Both ways come out to a perfect layout-box which I want for my front-end.

Please note this video to understand exactly what I mean:
https://www.screencast.com/t/pMnlyj6bGGsM

And in this context I have one more question. Please note this video:
https://www.screencast.com/t/uUI9vMceosW

I´m getting crazy with my navigation meu bar. Sometimes the sub-menu is available with the mouse and sometimes not …

Please note the video:
1. At first I go to a category. At the “top” menu and “sticky” menu the sub menu is perfectly available with my mouse
2. Then I go to a post. At the “top” menu the sub menu is available. But then I scroll down and the “sticky” menu appears … Please note how the sub menu disappears as soon as I go a little bit down with my mouse
3. The same thing happens on my home page (start page)

Question: What do I have to change in my back end to solve this problem?

Many Thanks,
Oliver

Olli

Thank you for your answer Calin,

All I want is: An “Alt Attribute” for my H1 in the articles (nothing else)

Problem #1: Do I have to “change” each of my article into a “single post template”? That would be very time-consuming as I want to create hundreds of articles !!! Isn´t there a way to do this “in bulk” through the ThemePanel ??

Problem #2: I already understand, how I can “enter” my pages with the tagdiv composer: I just go to “pages” in my WordPress backend and then I have the possibility to enter each page through the link “Edit with TagDiv Composer” ….. This option is not available for my articles !!!!!!

Thank you,
Oliver

Olli

okay … again the pictures and no source code 😀

But, I hope you understand what I mean.

Olli
tagDiv Member

Damn,

I tried to copy two codes, but they where transformed into the pictures (as they are shown at the front-end).

Let´s give this a try:

Source code of the first picture (featured image without alt attribute – this is my problem!)

Source code of second picture within the normal text (this picture has an alt attribute – I want this for the first picture (featured image) aswell)

Ehrgeiz Zitate

Many Thanks,
Oliver
