To answer my own question the change doesn’t take effect immediately and the count was still showing as zero several hours later. However, I left it overnight and now it is working. So if you have followed all the steps then it does seem to work, eventually.

One final question – how will I know when there is a plugin update if it doesn’t ever say?

How long does it take for the changes to work? I updated the plugin about an hour ago and FB count still shows zero.

Problem is that I am not offered any opportunity to update the plugin so I cannot update it to v3.1.

No in my case it’s because I am an idiot. The ad was expecting to be on our main domain not the ip address so as son as I switched over it worked!

I have almost exactly the same issue except that no ads are showing anywhere. I have pasted the followng into the ad box:

Found that now thanks. If I want to change the code for all ads in all spots where do I find that please. So I want to be able to change the sidebar ads and those that appear in the posts and all others based on categories. Where do I find that in the code please?

Thanks for the response but the reason I asked was because the ads.php file doesn’t seem to exist in the Newspaper theme so I wondered if it was possible and if so what file I need to edit.
