Hello Chris,

thanks for your answer: Is this really the official Solution, that that also http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ uses on their website?

I need to make shure that this is not a feature of Newspaper theme. In case tagdiv provides this feature out of the box I rather want to user their logic, not install a plugin.

Thanks!

Important Update: I mean not the Authors Social Icons but the 4 Big Social ICons under the Post itself.

Furthere more, if a user clicks the mutton, a wp_opütions entry will be created that unnecessarily fills the database (it does not make sense to store this in the database for users). Furthermore every Plageload this has to be read from the database and checked.. (ok will come from cache). But this is really a bug.

Thanks!

Hello Lucian,

sorry, i have to ask again. I decided to not go live without having some kind of Validation (a described). This is just a too bad user experience and the site relies heavily on Comments.

I know I from my former Jobs, Issue Trackers sometimes have very large backlogs… Can you roughly guess, when this feature could be implemented?

If I understand you right, this will be something with low priority thats coming sometime in >3-xxx Months?

thanks

Hello Lucian,

thanks great!

(Just a Node. The Link you provided is interesting. This is a great additional feature (I have not thought about) but it is no substitute for my solution. As with my solution You simple write once the logic and then the ad system works on its own withouth any further work required. Where as in the link, you have to setup the “Show No Ads Flag” for every post, which is a huge time wast. If you plan to improve the ad System Both are required. One to individually Flag Posts/Pages (and CPTs!!!) manually in the Admin. And you also need a logic to filter Ads based in PHP Logik (based on Keywords and stuff => which requires a filter)… Furthermore if you plan to improve the ad system: Categories and CPTs are a must selection Criteria to Show/Notshow Ads.

thanks

Hello Radu, hello Lucian

thanks for your reply. No need at all to appologize. Your theme is absolutely great. Its worth every Dollar. And you have an absolutely great support. Its a very long time since I was so happy with a product I bought.

Its absolutely OK to have this licencing/nag screen. My concern was only, that in case of any bugs or problems, my users might see this message and might then get very confused. Limiting it to the admin users would therefore be great.

Thats great if I can use the key also on my dev machin, to remove the nag screen (as it helps to free a litte bit of space on the “above the fold” area…)

Thanks for the great theme and support to you both.

Update:

As I can not edit my post?:

Even worse (but missed that completely): It also shows a red Menu-Item called “Activate Theme” in the Admin-Menu, which is even worse and irritating.

Just for clarification: The message curently states:
— Please activate the theme! — Click here to enter your code – if this is an error please contact us at activate@tagdiv.com

=>So this is evern worse, as the users do not know wat tagdiv.com is.

Thanks

Just a note: Its sufficient telling me “roughly” where I have to “register” the module (does not require a detailled description), than I will figure this out on my own.

Hello Lucian,

thanks very much!

Does Newspaper Theme also have a tool included (say a php File) that will read in all the small .js files in the js directory and then generate the site.js file?
Or do i have to concatenate them manually or write my own script to concatenamte them into the site.js?

thanks

Hey Lucian,

Thanks very much! Missed that completely as I normally only work with the Text Editor (not Visual Editor).

thanks
