I’ve been using this theme for 3 years, so I’m well aware of how to update it. I haven’t added any plug-ins since August 2021, and don’t use a caching plug-in. This is the first time I’ve ever had the experience of the update screen being totally blank. Never in the past have I ever had to deactivate any other plug-ins to update the theme. At this point I’ll chalk this up to a bug in the latest version of the Newspaper, and wait for the next revision to hopefully resolve the issue.

Thanks – I checked and Romania is not geoblocked, so that is not the issue. I will attempt one more time to install the 11.2 update on a staging site, and if that fails, I’ll wait for the next update and see if the bug persists in that version of the theme.

My site sits behind a Sucuri firewall as a security measure, but other than that there are no additional security plug-ins in place. I am aware of what the normal time machine display should look like, when I did the update, aside from page builder plug-in not installing, the system status, updates, theme panel, and support tabs all disappeared as options at the top of the screen. Is it possible that whatever country you are pushing this update from is somehow geo-blocked by the firewall, preventing the update from working properly? I can check on that variable if you tell me what country this update is being published from. Seems unlikely since all prior updates for the last few years have worked fine, but I suppose it’s worth ruling out as a cause.

Agreed – the absence of the time machine/roll-back tab is of considerable concern to me, and fortunately I had the foresight to do a full back-up before installing this update, so I was able to restore to the last known working state of my site in that manner. But moving forward, I’m stuck for the moment.

I have 10.3.9.1 installed – I was afraid to update to the latest 10.4 version after reading many of the comments on this forum, but I will try it on the staging site to see if this resolves issue without breaking my site.

No response from tech support – have any users run into this issue and if so, how did you remedy the issue?

OK yes that is what it looked like, so I suppose I need to reinstall the theme update, then immediately go into the plug-ins menu and update TagDiv composer. I was under the impression that the theme plug-ins would update automatically, along with the theme, by using the Envato Market plug-in to install the theme update.

I should add that I don’t have Cloud Library installed. The only theme-provided plug-in I’m using is the TagDiv Composer.

So are you saying there was an update to the TagDiv Composer that could have caused this issue if it didn’t update? I don’t want to try reinstalling the theme unless you’re reasonably certain that the reason I had the problem was simply that the plug-on didn’t update.
