Forgot to clear the cache on the website! It is working now, thanks Bogdan 🙂
You could create a user called ‘Sponsored content’ it’s not perfect as it will say ‘By Sponsored Content’ but it’s better than nothing.
Thank you Bogdan I value your help. I hope you all enjoy your holiday tomorrow!
I had the mobile theme activiated. I switched it off and cleared the cache but am still unable to see the page I created.
Do I need to change any other settings?
Thank you again
Phil
Add me as another one with same error.
Would appreciate it if the theme did default to AMP when mobile viewing.
It’s Yoast SEO. Even with an update to 5.1 it is still giving the errors. I disabled the plugin and, as if by magic, the connection was kept.
Just to bump this up – since we upgraded to WordPress 4.8, we are now getting the same connection lost error
and also the style sheet one.
Wordpress help seems to blame template or webhost, but that can’t suddenly be the case, can it?
Thanks for this.
It was working under the old Newspaper 7 template, and it is only this view that isn’t showing properly.
I have to admit that this bit of coding is a bit beyond my knowledge. The articles you link to are interesting but I can’t see how to adapt them to my site.
I tried adding this to the .htaccess, but it made no difference.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.wokinghampaper.com/$1 [R,L]
</IfModule>
Adding this code breaks the site:
server {
listen 80;
server_name yoursite.com http://www.yoursite.com;
return 301 https://yoursite.com$request_uri;
}
I’m scared of breaking the site as I don’t know quite what I’m looking to change.
The advice seems to be to change settings from http to // in css, but I can’t see those options in the newspaper .style .css.
Thanks Simion for replying, I appreciate it.

Hopefully this view will work
One workaround I’ve found for this is to call in the URL link twice. The first time it doesn’t call picture in, so I copy and delete the draft post, refresh browswer and then paste the draft post back into Facebook and the picture then usually comes up.
Thanks Catalin, I have installed update and deleted the cache and sadly it’s still the same.
I think what I’ll do when I get a bit more time is to purge the theme and do a fresh reinstall. It might solve the problem.
Hi Catalin,
So sorry for taking more than a week to reply. I have cleared my caches and still not working for me.
Would welcome any advice if possible,
Thanks
Phil
Thank you for your help Catalin. I’m afraid that doesn’t work for me.
Also, it’s all headers in the sidebar that are affected.
Thank you again
Best wishes
Phil
Thanks Catalin,
That works but … it’s taken every .block-title header and turned them into White text on Red background. Ideally, we would have the custom colours set up – eg, SPORT being green.
Crucially though, in the footer, this looks very strange. See screenshot
