I am surprise that the white space has resurfaced, after it was removed by the css above.
One thing I know I did was to upgrade the plugin (Should that affect the css code that was applied to the theme? strange!)

I decided to chose the second option called double box so that the image banner will stand alone, and the banner text will also stand alone.
However, my banner image is not covering the entire width of my desktop screen, thereby leaving white space to the write.

Let me rephrase. How can I eliminate or remove the white space that is in between the main menu and image at the top, and the white space between the image and footer at the bottom. I only want to see the image, no white spaces.
