I updated the AMP plugin to version Version 1.5.0 and non of my AMP pages are working.
When I go to Newspaper -> Plugins -> Official AMP for WP and try to activate the plugin it doesn’t do anything.
I wonder if you advise on this please?

I have the latest versions (Newspaper 10.2 and WordPress 5.3) but still experiencing the issue. This issue has occurred since I installed Newspaper 10.2.

Any update to this issue as lots of people seem to be having it? Thanks

The strange thing is, when I load the 3 affected pages in a private window, the pages sometimes load as AMP and sometimes they don’t which seems strange. Also, it only seems to be affecting 3 pages not all of them. One of the affected pages simply has some plain text, nothing complex about it.

Things I’ve tried so far:

1) I’ve deactivated the AMP plugin and reactivated it and cleared the cache.
2) Checked that no AMP URLs are blocked By Robots.txt.
3) Disabled AMP for affected pages and then saved and re-enabled it again.
4) Running it through The AMP Validator (https://validator.ampproject.org) for the 3 affected pages seems to work sometimes and sometimes not.
5) Flushed the permalinks: Settings > Permalinks and saved changes.
6) Clicked on “Validate Fix” from Google Search Console but same issue.

In your screenshot of the header-amp.php file, you show the change needs to be made on line 197.

When I check my header-amp.php file however, I see the line on 393 instead (see screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/oK1Y8ZH). I’m using Newspaper V 9.7.2, I’m presume this is ok?

Also, I guess I don’t need to add rel=”nofollow” to the following ones as well?:

After further investigation, when I run Chrome Inspect on my mobile version of the site it loads fine without issues and it also works fine on my smartphone.

I therefore think the issue lies with the Google Search Console. When I run “Test Live URL” it mentions the Page is not mobile friendly and it’s throwing a number of JavaScript error including the jQuery one.

Maybe Google Search Console is not loading the scripts in the right order, that’s the only thing I can think of.

Regarding the WordPress colour settings, I have the Gutenburg editor and I can’t seem to see this option available. I can change the background colour for text blocks but not for headings. Please let me know if this correct?

Just to add, the error is only throwing on the mobile version of the site.

Also, Google is saying the page is not mobile friendly.
