Hi Bettina, I’m just trying to work out whether the functionality usually needed for a one page website is available in Newspaper.

For example, I am having a really hard time finding out how to create anchor links or – as a work around to this – add hyperlinks to the texts in certain elements.

I would like a page where selecting an item in the header menu makes it scroll to the desired position on the page instead of opening a whole new one.

I receive the wp_booster error when I try to use the Hero element. In fact, it messes up quite a few things on tagdiv composer and pretty much freezes it.

Do you have a fix for this?

I am trying to link some headings and images to other pages on my site. Hate to compound more things but I also would like to know if it is possible to link to any category pages? I thought using categories would be easier than pages but they don’t seem to be an option when I try to link elements.

I added the headings and images using tagdiv elements ‘title over image’, ‘inline text’, and ‘title’.

I’m sorry but I’m quite new to this and don’t know how to provide an example of the back-end. Which admin credentials would you need to test the site?

For example, if I add a link to any element on the page using the regular editor, I would get a warning as soon as I enter the tagdiv editor saying that there are some features on the page not added with tagdiv (I can’t log in right now so don’t know the exact wording).

Once that happens, whatever links I have added will disappear as soon as I exit the editor. They will last as long as I don’t enter the tagdiv editor.

I find it easier to link to my other pages with the standard editor but, so far, it seems I have to choose between standard or tagdiv.

Again, I would send a screenshot but my login is having problems.

I followed the steps you suggested which has worked fairly well but I am still having problems with the links.

I am supposing I could copy and paste the desired page in the url box but the website is not live yet and I’m not sure what the final url will be.

It is frustrating since adding these links is very simple on the basic editor – even to tagdiv code – but the tagdiv editor will soon delete the customization.

Sorry to interrupt but are you saying it is not possible on Newspaper 8.8 to change the theme to black with white writing? This was a very easy thing to do on the last theme builder I used.

Is there something I am missing or do I have to build a custom CSS code to do it?
