Thank you

I’m having a similar issue. I’m currently sorting by popular last 7 days but the ticker keeps showing articles from several weeks ago. Any reason why it would show a post that is older than 7 days if this sorting is selected?

Ah yes. Ok That must be what it is. Thank you for helping me figure this out. So the custom template is using a shortcode to display the post and the plugin cannot see the content of the post essentially.

Are there any work arounds for this? The only reason I’m using a custom template is that I wanted some extra items under the comment section which the default templates did not have.

This is essentially the setup I am trying now. Which will work for this purpose. Using a different template on posts on which I do not want ads.

The key point I would like addressed, however, is knowing why a custom template will not allow plugins to insert information within a post. Default templates will allow plugins to insert an ad, image, etc after paragraph X, but a custom template will not allow this.

I have tried multiple plugins that insert data automatically after paragraph X and it always works fine in a default template and not in a custom template.

Is this because paragraphs are ignored in custom templates based on the Cloud Template single post content ads section?

If so it would be ideal to allow custom templates to use the site-wide theme panel ad boxes instead if that was desired.

If you have any questions about what I am trying to get across feel free to reach out to me.

As mentioned above, I can’t use this feature because I need to make sure some posts don’t have ads in the content. I’m using Quick Adsense because it allows me to use a shortcode to take out ads from any post individually.

The main question is why will the inline ads show up within a post on any default template but not the custom template. If I can figure that out I can solve this hopefully.

Thank you for your reply. It was mainly the inline ads I was trying to adjust the font size for (the title of the ad rather). These do not have a font size adjustment in the element as far as I can tell. So for these using css is probably the only way right now correct? The default font size for the ad title is very small and very greyed out.

I had the same issue. I would like to be able to use the “related articles” and “more from author” in the same box with a custom template (just as it is in the default templates). So this cannot be done right now, correct? I would like the feature because adding both boxes takes up a lot more space than simply using one box for both elements.

Will this be fixed on the next update? I am facing the same thing and it’s making it hard to create pages if I’m unsure the edits will save or not
